CCS Board President to Step Down at the end of 2019

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--The president of the Columbus City Schools Board of Education is saying he will step down from the position at the end of the year.

President Gary Baker the Second issued a statement Wednesday saying that 2019 would be his final year serving on the board.

Baker has served the school district as a board member since 2008 and was re-elected board president in 2016.

Baker's retirement coincides with the end of his term which is set to expire at the end of the calendar year.
