Franklin County Judge Charged Again in Connection to OVI Citation

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--A Franklin County Judge is facing a charge of criminal obstruction in connection to a drunk driving incident at the end of January.

A criminal complaint lodged Monday says Judge Monica Hawkins is facing a second-degree misdemeanor charge after refusing to cooperate with a warrant for a blood sample.

Hawkins was pulled over on January 31st by Pickerington Police and later failed a series of field sobriety tests. She was originally cited for an OVI.

Hawkins' attorney recently claimed that she had suffered a head injury before being pulled over and officials say the case remains under investigation.
