Hilliard Schools take Feedback on Elementary Realignment Proposal

HILLIARD, Ohio (24-7 News)--Hilliard residents are expressing both concern and support towards a proposal merging two elementary schools in the district.

At a meeting held Monday night, Hilliard Schools Superintendent Dr. John Marschhausen listened to comments from the public about the plan to operate a single school campus between Britton and Norwich Elementary.

Marschhausen said beginning in 2020, Britton would be used for kindergarten through second grade and Norwich would be for third through fifth grade.

District officials said they are trying to innovate and there are also plans for a change to the Alton Darby and Darby Creek schools in development.
