WILMINGTON, Ohio (WTVN)--Central Ohio is under a Winter Weather Advisory from Midnight wednesday until Noon Wednesday.
Forecasters say the Columbus area could see anywhere from two to four inches of snow, with some light ice accumulations also possible.
The advisory area includes central Ohio, southwest Ohio, western Ohio, and portions of east central Indiana.
Forecasters say drivers should plan for additional time to get to work or school Wednesday morning, with the timing of the snow hitting right during the morning rush hour. The precipitation in central Ohio will eventually change to all-rain by Wednesday afternoon.
The same system is prompting a flood watch for extreme southeast Ohio and portions of West Virginia until Thursday, with most of the precipitation there falling as rain.
