COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Attorney Rob Dorans is the newest member of Columbus City Council.
He was appointed to replace outgoing councilman Michael Stinziano on Monday. Council voted unanimously to approve the 32-year-old Dorans who works as chief legal counsel for the Affiliated Construction Trades of Ohio labor organization.
Dorans takes the seat of Stinziano who after serving on the council since 2015 resigned last Friday to take the position of Franklin County Auditor he won in the November 2018 election.
Dorans will have a chance to run for his seat in a permanent capacity this November.
