COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State University has named its featured speaker for the annual Spring Commencement ceremony.
CNN host, journalist, and author Fareed Zakaria will address graduates and attendees of the ceremony, which is set for Sunday, May 5th at Ohio Stadium.
Zakaria visited Ohio State in 2016 to deliver the keynote speech at the Fisher Centennial, an event marking the centennial year of the Max M. Fisher College of Business.
He currently hosts "Fareed Zakaria GPS" on CNN, and is also a columnist for The Washington Post and The Atlantic.
Zakaria serves on the boards of the Council of Foreign Relations, New America and Stanford University’s Global Advisory Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, and a doctorate in political science from Harvard University.
Traditionally, tens of thousands of students receive their undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees during OSU's Spring Commencement.
