COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Friends and family of Amber Evans gathered along the Scioto Mile for a vigil Wednesday.
Evans was found dead last weekend in the Scioto River following a weeks-long search. Investigators say her disappearance followed a domestic dispute.
She was known for her community service and activist work, especially in connection to the People's Justice Project. Those at the vigil said her legacy will never be forgotten.
Franklin County officials have not released the details behind her death as of yet.
