Jackets Eliminated from Playoffs, Lose 3-0 to Bruins

Boston Bruins v Columbus Blue Jackets - Game Six

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The longest playoff run in Columbus Blue Jackets history ended on Monday, with a loss to the Boston Bruins.

The 3-0 setback at Nationwide Arena eliminated the Jackets from the playoffs, losing the best-of-seven series in 6 games, after taking a two-games-to-one lead.

David Krejci scored in the second period and Marcus Johansson and David Backes added goals in the third for Boston, who will play Carolina next in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The series defeat for the CBJ follows a four-game sweep of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the NHL's best team in the regular season.

The end of the season could also mark the end of the tenures of Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin as Blue jackets, with both high-profile players becoming free agents in the off-season.
