Two People Rescued After kayaking Along Big Darby Creek

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Two women were rescued over the weekend from rushing water along Big Darby Creek, after they lost their kayaks.

Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies set up shop at Trapper John's Canoe Livery Saturday evening to conduct the rescue, with the victims stranded along the bank.

Multiple fire agencies also responded, and their initial boat became stranded as well.

The Sheriff's Office's dive team was able to make contact with the women in their boat launch, and were able to wade to the victims to take them to safety.

The two kayakers were unharmed, and given a ride home.
