COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A new research facility at Nationwide Children's Hospital is being dedicated to Abigail Wexner.
The new Abigail Wexner Research Institute was unveiled at a dedication ceremony Tuesday with a mission of discovery in the fields of genomics, tissue engineering, and gene therapy.
The institute currently occupies 525,000 square feet across three buildings on the hospital’s main campus.
Abigail spent more than 25 years on the hospital's board of directors, and helped lead the Nationwide Children's through its largest expansion projects.
Wexner is also the wife of Leslie Wexner, the owner of L Brands, with stores like Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works.
