WILMINGTON, Ohio (WTVN)--The national Weather Service Office in Wilmington increased their total number of tornado reports from Monday night into Tuesday morning across Ohio to 17.
The office had already registered EF-3 tornadoes in Trotwood, Celina, and Beavercreek when the reports were added from Darke, Mercer, Hardin, and Auglaize counties.
Three of those tornadoes touched down in central Ohio--two in Pickaway County, and one in Hocking County.
One of the tornadoes in Greene County had a path over five miles long.
After surveying storm damage in Trotwood on Tuesday, Governor Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency for Mercer, Montgomery, and Greene counties.
