Discovery of Body Believed to be Connected to Recent Police Chase Suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Authorities say a body found off of Old Harrisburg Road near Harrisburg Pike, in southwest Franklin County, may be that of a woman reported missing from the Zanesville area.

According to reports, the body was discovered yesterday and police from both Franklin County and Zanesville were called to the scene.

Officials say they believe the body belongs to a 64-year woman reported missing on Wednesday, and foul play may be involved in her death.

Police say John Jenkins Junior may be a person of interest in the case. He was the suspect in a robbery at a west-side gas station earlier this week, where a Columbus Police officer shot at him before Jenkins led them on a chase. That ended in a crash in Upper Arlington.
