LOCKBOURNE, Ohio (WTVN)--The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of a body in the Scioto River on Sunday.
Deputies responded when a caller reported seeing what looked like a leg, sticking out of the water, near the Scioto Canoe Livery, along London-Groveport Road around 4PM Sunday.
The Sheriff's Dive Team responded and recovered the body.
Investigators say the only thing that could be determined at first sight is that the body is that of a male.
The Franklin County Coroner is conducting the autopsy, and is hoping to make a positive identification.
So far, there's been no determination as to whether there was foul play involved.
