ADA, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio northern university, in Hardin County, is set to lay off 16 staff members and cut 10 degree programs, in a cost-cutting move.
Administrators of the school in Ada say the cuts will save the university between $4-million and $8-million.
The Associated Press is also reporting that the school will leave nearly three-dozen vacancies unfilled.
Among the degree programs being cut--German and French, and the Master's program in Law. The school also plans to expand in other areas.
The Lima News is reporting that the university's board of Trustees approved the plan earlier this year. The school has about 3,000 students and 70 course offerings.
