SWAT Situation in Blacklick Ends Peacefully

BLACKLICK, Ohio (WTVN)--A standoff involving Franklin County SWAT officers Sunday ended with a suspect in custody, and no injuries.

Deputies say it started when 30-year-old Trevor Clark forced his way into a home with a gun along Havens Road around 7AM.

One man escaped and called 911, but the caller's wife, daughter, and two grandchildren were still in the home. His daughter is Clark's girlfriend.

Negotiators spent about an hour convincing Clark to allow his four and six-year-old children, along with the caller's wife, to leave the home safely.

Clark's girlfriend was later freed, and he eventually surrendered.

He is charged with one count of aggravated burglary. Deputies say the incident stemmed from a custody dispute.

Additional charges are possible, pending further investigation.
