Bond Set at $50-thousand for Mike Davis

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A Franklin County Judge set bond at $50,000 Friday for 10TV Meteorologist Mike Davis, following his arrest on charges connected to possessing child pornography.

The judge also ordered Davis not have unsupervised contact with minors, not have internet access, and not leave Franklin County as conditions for his bond.

Davis was arrested Thursday morning at his home in upper Arlington, after a weeks-long investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said their investigation included a search of Davis's home, and Davis's office at WBNS-TV. They found thousands of images of underage girls committing sexual acts.

Davis's attorney, Terry Sherman, argued for a lower bond from an original proposal of $100-thousand, with prosecutors trying to point out the severity of the charges against him.

Davis's pre-trial hearing is set for September 13th.
