COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A Franklin County grand jury has returned an eight-count indictment against a teenager, for the rape and robbery of a woman that was pushing her child in a stroller along a bike trail.
Desmond Thomas, who was 16 at the time of the incident on April 12th, is charged with three counts of rape, two of kidnapping, two of robbery, and one of aggravated robbery.
Prosecutors say Thomas approached the victim from behind along the Camp Chase Bike Trail, sexually assaulted the victim, and robbed her, all at gunpoint.
All of the charges he is facing include firearm specifications. his arraignment is set for Friday afternoon.
