COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The man charged with killing two US Postal Service supervisors in Dublin in 2017 has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
The US Attorney's Office says DeShaune Stewart will remain in custody, and undergo a psychological evaluation.
Stewart is accused of killing Lance Herrera-Dempsey and Ginger Ballard on December 23rd, 2017. Dempsey was killed at the post office, and Ballard was shot and killed at a local apartment complex.
Stewart was an employee of the local post office. Investigators say the killings were the result of Stewart's pending termination from his employment.
A memorial bench to Herrera-Dempsey and Ballard is established at the Dublin post office on 6400 Emerald Parkway.
