CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WTVN)--A severe thunderstorm that rolled through Pickaway County on Sunday caused power outages and property damage.
The worst of the damage occurred east of Circleville and in Washington Township. ODOT had to close portions of US 22, State Route 188, and State Route 159 for down trees and power lines for hours on Sunday.
Those roads eventually reopened late Sunday evening.
South Central Power reported about 1,200 customers in the dark in Pickaway County, and another 200+ customers in Fairfield County without electricity.
Crews spent the overnight hours working to restore everyone, but there is no timeline as to when power will be restored.
