12 Candidates Make Democratic Presidential Debate in Westerville

Democratic Presidential Candidates Participate In First Debate Of 2020 Election Over Two Nights

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WTVN)--12 Democratic candidates for President will be on the debate stage at Otterbein University in Westerville later this month.

The deadline passed this week for candidates to qualify, and the ten candidates in the last debate will now be joined by Hawaii Congressman Tulsi Gabbard, and billionaire businessman Tom Steyer.

The other candidates on stage will be former Vice-President Joe Biden, Senators Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Amy Klobuchar, former congressman Beto O'Rourke, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and billionaire businessman Andrew Yang.

The debate will be October 15th, on one night only, at the Rike Center, on the Westerville campus.

The adjacent recreation facility will be used as the media center for the debate.

Preparations are already underway for the debate.
