COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police have arrested the man believed to be the one caught on video, beating a todder.
27-year-old Robert Lee Slocum was identified through tips posted on social media, after CPD originally posted the video of the incident from September 24th.
The video shows an adult taking a child out of a gold-colored SUV in the parking lot of the IGA on Parsons Avenue, and hitting the child multiple times.
Slocum is charged with assault, child endangering, and domestic violence, all misdemeanors.
Slocum has four children, including the child seen in the video, and those children are now in the custody of Franklin County Children's Services.
