Bernie Sanders Says He'll Attend Debate in Westerville

Bernie Sanders Tours Colleges In New Hampshire

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WTVN)--Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders says he will attend the next debate, which is scheduled for October 15th in Westerville.

The U.S. Senator from Vermont had to undergo an emergency heart procedure this week, after experiencing chest pain on Tuesday. Sanders had two stents placed in an artery, and is said to be recovering in good spirits.

Sanders is expected to be released from a Las Vegas hospital this weekend. His campaign canceled several events as he recovers, but added the hospital stay would not keep him from that debate.

Sanders is one of 12 candidates slated to take the stage at the Rike Center, on the campus of Otterbein University, for the one-night-only debate on October 15th.
