COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State University has launched the public portion of it's most ambitious fundraising effort in the school's history.
The university's "Time and Change" campaign hops to raise $4.5-billion from one-million donors. Already, it's raised $1.7-billion from nearly a half-million donors.
"As we celebrate Ohio State's sesquicentennial, it is fitting to launch a campaign focused on the essence of what it means to be a Buckeye: our unwavering focus on people, their potential, our community and our collective impact around the world," said President Michael V. Drake. "Together, we will continue to invest in the future and ignite hope - inspiring new generations and delivering innovations that serve the greater good."
The university's last major fundraising effort, "But For Ohio State", led to over $3-billion from more than 750-thousand donors. That campaign concluded in 2016.
