Arrests Made in Woman's Death at Hocking Hills

LOGAN, Ohio (WTVN)--Two teenagers are now in custody for the death of a woman at Hocking Hills over Labor Day weekend.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced the apprehension of the teens, ages 16 and 17, for the death of 44-year-old Victoria Schafer. She was killed by a falling branch at Old Man's Cave on September 2nd.

Schafer was there working as a photographer, taking senior pictures with a group of teens.

Investigators say the event was not a natural occurrence, and they asked the public for information on what happened.

The suspects confessed to their roles in the event in interviews, according to the Hocking County Sheriff's Office.

They are currently charged with reckless homicide, and are being held in the Juvenile Correctional Facility in Lancaster.
