COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A hearing of the Ohio State Medical Board, regarding former Mt. Carmel Health Doctor William Husel, has been delayed.
The hearing over Husel's suspended medical license was supposed to begin Monday. Husel's attorneys asked for the delay, which was granted, until March and July of 2020.
Dr. Husel is facing 25 criminal counts of murder, for the deaths of patients due to overdoses of pain medications.
Prosecutors say the criminal trial against Dr. Husel will be the biggest in the history of Franklin County.
Mt. Carmel is also in the process of settling wrongful death lawsuits with the families of the victims.
