Suspect Identified in Recent Murder

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police have identified a suspect in a murder outside a bar on the city's northeast side from two weeks ago.

Investigators say 41-year-old Omar Gamez was shot dead outside of the Grand Champion Bar, on East Dublin-Granville Road, the night of October 6th. The incident apparently stemmed from an argument in the bar, and moved outside where it escalated.

Murder charges have been filed against 52-year-old Santos Carillo, who remains at large, and his whereabouts are unknown.

It is considered the 83rd homicide in Columbus in 2019.
