CPD Chief Search Down to Two Finalists

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The search for the new Police Chief for the city of Columbus is now down to two finalists.

The committee tasked with filling the position announced the finalists on Thursday, which includes Interim Police Chief Thomas Quinlan, and former Assistant Police Chief in Seattle, Washington, Perry Tarrant.

The finalists will now participate in a public forum to talk about their vision and policies for the department. That forum is set for Thursday, November 21st at East High School, at 6PM.

Five candidates for the position were interviewed earlier this week.

Kim Jacobs retired back in February. Officials hope to name a new Police Chief before the end of the year.
