WHITEHALL, Ohio (WTVN)--A woman is in custody and charged with murder, for killing the father of her son.
Whitehall Police say they responded to a home along Josephus Avenue, on a report of a shooting. They found 53-year-old Thomas Battle with gunshot injuries.
He was taken to Mt. Carmel East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation led to 38-year-old Crystal Lanier, who is the mother of Battle's son. She was taken into custody at her residence along East Mound Street in Whitehall.
She is now being held in the Franklin County Jail. Officers have not yet revealed a motive for the shooting.
