ATHENS, Ohio (WTVN)--Nine people have been indicted on a range of charges for the death of a fraternity pledge at Ohio University in Athens in 2018.
Collin Wiant of Dublin passed away at an auxiliary house of Sigma Pi's Epsilon chapter, with investigators saying it was the result of hazing.
Wiant's cause of death was ruled asphyxiation from ingesting nitrous oxide.
The charges for those involved range from reckless homicide, to involuntary manslaughter, trafficking in cocaine, hazing, permitting drug abuse, and failure to comply with underage alcohol laws.
One of the suspects is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
