OSU QB Justin Fields Named B1G Offensive Player of the Year

Ohio State State v Michigan

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio State Quarterback Justin Fields has been named the Big Ten Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

The postseason offensive awards were announced by the conference on Wednesday. Fields led the Buckeyes to an undefeated regular season, in his first year as starting quarterback for the Buckeyes, after transferring from Georgia.

The award means the Buckeyes have the conference's Coach of the Year, in Ryan Day, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year, Chase Young, for 2019.

It's the first time in the history of the conference one school has won all of those awards in the same season.

The Buckeyes are gearing up for Saturday's Big ten Championship Game against Wisconsin, in Indianapolis. Ohio State is assured of a trip to the College Football Playoff with a win.
