COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--For the 3rd time in program history, the Ohio State Buckeyes are in the College Football Playoff.
The Buckeyes are the #2 seed in the playoff, and will play #3 seed Clemson in the CFP Semifinal on Saturday, December 28th. That game will be at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
The other semifinal, also on December 28th, features #1 LSU against #4 Oklahoma.That game is at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia.
The winners will play for the National Championship in New Orleans on January 13th.
Ohio State secured their spot in the playoff by completing the comeback in their win over Wisconsin, 34-21, in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis on Saturday.
The Buckeyes are 13-0 this season under Ryan Day, who is in his first full year as Head Coach.
Ohio State won the National Championship in the first ever College Football Playoff, following the 2014 season, beating Alabama in the semifinal and Oregon in the title game.
The Buckeyes returned to the playoff following the 2016 season, but lost to Clemson in the semifinal.
