Teen Dies in Pickaway County Crash

SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio (WTVN)--A teenager died in a single-car crash in Pickaway County Monday morning.

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle heading south on State Route 104, near State Route 316, went off the right side of the road while negotiating a curve.

The vehicle struck a guardrail, which pierced through the grill of the car and into the cabin, passing all the way through.

The 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle was killed. The 17-year-old driver was taken to Mt. Carmel hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Along with the Sheriff's office, South Bloomfield Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Scioto Township Fire and EMS all responded.
