Paramedics Injured in Downtown Crash Christmas Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Two Columbus Fire paramedics were taking a patient to the hospital, when they had to be admitted themselves, after a crash downtown Wednesday afternoon.

Reports say it happened at the intersection of East Broad and Grant around 5PM. The medic unit was taking a patient to Grant Hospital, when another vehicle ran a red light and crashed into the ambulance.

The ambulance driver, the passenger, and the patient were all admitted to Grant Hospital in stable condition.

A Columbus Police officer was following the ambulance, and witnessed the incident. The driver of the other vehicle involved was issued a citation.
