Jeni's Ice Creams Recalls Non-Dairy Product Over Milk Allergen

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Jeni's Ice Creams is recalling a product that claims to be non-dairy, but actually contains a milk allergen.

The alert is for the Columbus-based company's "Cold Brew with Coconut Cream" non-dairy ice cream. It was sold in Jeni's scoop shops, in grocery stores, and online.

The recall was prompted by a customer having an allergic reaction to the undeclared milk allergen when consuming the ice cream.

There are three batches in all included in the recall, identified by batch codes 19-016, 19-086 and 19-154. Customers can either throw them away, or send a picture of the batch code to the company for a full refund.
