Two CPD Officers fired Over Stormy Daniels Arrest

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Two Columbus Police Officers involved in the arrest of porn star Stormy Daniels in 2018 have been fired.

The decision affects Steve Rosser and Whitney Lancaster, with two other officers suspended as a result of the arrest.

Daniels, whose real name was Stephanie Clifford, was arrested in July 2018 while performing at a Columbus strip club.

The Columbus City Attorney later dropped the charges against Daniels, and she also filed a lawsuit against the city as a result.

Her litigation was settled out of court.

The incident was one of many that led to the disbandment of the Vice Unit, done by then-Interim Police Chief Thomas Quinlan. He has since been named Chief.

Rosser and Lancaster were limited to desk duty until their case was heard by public safety officials. Safety Director Ned Pettus made the decision to fire the two, to go along with Quinlan's recommendation.
