Could Ohio's minimum wage rate be raised?

How would you feel if the state minimum wage rate was raised? Just this week - according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office they certified the summary of petition for a proposed amendment to the Ohio Constitution which would increase the state minimum wage rate.

This means that the state minimum wage rate would be increased to $9.60 per hour on January 1, 2021 and then after that the increase would equal increments annually for 4 years to $13 per hour on January 1, 2025.

The petition was certified this week with the necessary 1,000 valid signatures from registered Ohio voters. Next - it would take around 443,000 valid signatures from registered Ohio voters to get this on the ballot in November.
