COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Former 10TV Meteorologist Mike Davis has plead guilty to four counts connected to the possession of child pornography.
The plea was accepted in Franklin County Common Pleas Court Thursday by Judge Karen Phipps, on the day when his trial was supposed to start.
Davis was arrested in September at his home in Upper Arlington, after investigators found him with about 16,000 images of child pornography.
Prosecutors charged with four felony counts, connected to the most egregious images they discovered.
Davis could be sentenced to a maximum of 29 years in prison, but his lawyers are hoping the guilty pleas will result in him being sentenced to intensive behavioral therapy, instead of prison.
Davis will be screened for that, along with a routine pre-sentence investigation, before his sentence is handed down on March 25th.
