Arrest made in Shooting Outside Columbus Library

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Following a public plea for help, Columbus Police Chief Thomas Quinlan announced that an arrest was made Wednesday in connection to Monday's fatal shooting outside of a library branch.

Quinlan says a witness came forward to identify 19-year-old Antonio Malone Jr., who was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with felonious assault.

Police say three people were shot outside of the Driving Park Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library on Monday. One person died, and two others were injured.

Quinlan also asked for other witnesses to come forward to assist with the Police investigation. He says about 20 people were on the scene at the time of the shooting.

The library branch was closed Tuesday following the incident, but re-opened on Wednesday.
