COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Police are investigating after a body was found in an SUV that may been parked in Franklinton for weeks.
A neighbor called police early Sunday afternoon after making the discovery along North Princeton Avenue. The SUV was impounded, and the body was found in a pile of trash and debris.
Investigators say there were no immediate signs of trauma on the body, like a gunshot wound.They also confirmed the body is that of a man who had been reported missing last week.
Witnesses and investigators are not sure exactly how long the SUV was parked in the neighborhood. The identity of the body has not been released, pending notification of next of kin and an autopsy by the Franklin County Coroner.
