Teens Steal Hearse, With Casket, & Go On A Joy Ride

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police are busy looking for three teens, who stole a hearse that was carrying a casket, and took the vehicle for a joyride.

The vehicle was left idling outside of the Jerry Spears Funeral Home on West Broad Street on Thursday, and followed a funeral for the subject who was still in the hearse at the time.

The teens got into at least one accident during the drive, and started doing donuts in an empty school parking lot, before eventually crashing into a utility pole. The three then fled on foot.

A spokesman for the funeral home says the casket was not damaged during the ordeal, and the body was set for cremation.
