All Ohio K-12 Schools Closed for Three Weeks

Barcelona Impacted By Coronavirus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Governor Mike DeWine Thursday ordered all K-12 schools in Ohio to close for three weeks, to help curb the spread of Coronavirus.

The order applies to all public, private, and charter schools. It takes effect Monday, March 16th, and goes through Friday, April 3rd.

It does not apply to Ohio's daycare system, and the state's home-based childcare providers.

DeWine encouraged schools to implement alternative methods of learning, including the possible use of school buildings.

Staff members should continue to report to school, as directed by administrators.

DeWine Thursday referred it to an extended spring break for students. He did not determine of Ohio's testing schedule.
