Hospitals Implement New Visitor Policies Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Two of Ohio's biggest hospitals are implementing new policies when it comes to visitors, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Nationwide Children's Hospital is asking that all visitors be healthy and over age 16, beginning Monday. Visitors will be asked to identify two people older than 18 they wish to visit during their stay.

At OSU Wexner Medical Center, patients will only be allowed one visitor or support person, and no visitors under age 16 will be allowed.

Exceptions will be made for end-of-life situations, minor patients, and those with physical disabilities.

Visitors at Wexner will also be screened for symptoms and travel history before being allowed into the building.
