SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTVN)--The company that owns Ohio's two biggest amusement parks has announced plans for both Kings Island and Cedar Point to reopen in phases to guests.
Cedar Fair unveiled the plans on Tuesday for both parks to initially open to season pass holders in July, with a reservation.
At Kings Island, season pass holders can attend beginning July 2nd, and then the park will open to daily ticketed guests with a reservation on July 12th.
For Cedar Point, season, Gold, and Platinum pass holders can attend, with a reservation, beginning July 9th. Guests of Cedar Point's resorts can attend beginning July 11th.
Both parks will keep capacity at a minimum by asking guests to make a reservation for the date they wish to attend.
Guests will also be required to complete a health screening prior to their date of visit, along with being subject to a temperature check upon their entry to the park.
All guests, employees, and vendors will be required to wear a mask.
Guests and employees will also be required to practice social distancing, including while waiting in line for rides, and frequent use of hand sanitizer and washing hands.
