Teens Injured in Two Separate East Side Shootings

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police responded to two separate shootings on the east side Monday, within hours of each other, with both leaving teenagers injured.

The first incident occurred at a COTA bus stop along North Nelson Road, just after 4:30PM. There, an argument led the suspect to pull out a handgun and fire at two teens.

16-year-old Kenneth Hairston was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable. The other target was not hit by gunfire.

Then around 10:30PM, officers were called to the intersection of South Weyant and Medway Avenues, where a gunshot victim was found in a vehicle.

15-year-old Rozell Dotstry was hit once by gunfire, and was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect in that case is described as a young black male, with a tapered afro.
