Eight Shootings in Columbus in 24-hour Period

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--it was a busy start to the weekend for Columbus Police, as they responded to eight shootings from Friday to Saturday morning.

Two teens were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital after a shooting on South Terrace Avenue in the Hilltop at 7PM.

Late Friday evening, a 28-year-old victim was shot while walking along East 5th Avenue. A short time later, a 30-year-old man with special needs was shot while sitting in the living room of a home along Bar Harbor Road, when shots were fired into the home.

That victim was taken to grant Hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

Police are asking for information in each of the cases.
