Three Robberies Near OSU Campus Prompt Safety Alert

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State University issued a Neighborhood Safety Notice over the weekend, after three different robberies were reported in the immediate off-campus area in succession.

It started with a report to Columbus Police just before 11PM Friday about a robbery near the intersection of Indianola and 13th Avenues. The victim said he had been approached by a group of four men who demanded money. One of them displayed a gun.

Then just before Midnight, near the intersection of East Frambes Avenue and Tuller Street, a male and female were approached by a group of five men. One of the suspects displayed a gun, and demanded money and phones. The suspects fled northbound through the alley behind Tuller Street following that robbery.

A third crime occurred early Saturday morning just after 3AM. A man reported being pulled into a dark sedan along High Street near 13th Avenue. He said three male suspects took his phone before letting him go.
