COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--While discussing The Memorial Tournament on CBS, that he has organized in Dublin for over 40 years, Jack Nicklaus revealed he and his wife Barbara both contracted COVID-19 earlier this year.

Jack made the disclosure on Sunday, saying he and his wife self-isolated at their Florida home from March 16th until April 29th.

While Barbara remained asymptomatic, Jack said his symptoms included a sore throat and a cough.

Jack and Barbara are both 80 years old.

Jack said he was very lucky not to have gotten more ill. Nicklaus and his wife said their hearts go out to those families who have lost a loved one due to the pandemic.
