Additional COVID-19 Safety Protocols Announced for Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Incoming Ohio State University President Dr. Kristina Johnson has announced additional COVID-19 protocols for students and staff to return to the Columbus campus for the fall semester.

Dr. Johnson says all students living on campus will be subject to coronavirus testing on a weekly basis, and the same will be offered to university staff.

She added that maximum class sizes will now be 50, instead of 100, in-person events and gatherings will be limited to 10 people or less, and students and staff will be recruited to assist with contact tracing.

The new guidelines are in additional to previously-announced measure that include everyone on campus required to wear a mask, both indoors and outdoors.
