Former OH Governor John Kasich Addresses Democratic National Convention

UNDATED, (WTVN)--He was in the running for the Republican nomination for Peresident in 2016, but in 2020, former Ohio Governor John kasich spoke at the virtual Democratic Convention, on behalf of Donald Trump's opponent, former Vice-President Joe Biden.

Kasich told attendees that the U.S. is on a path of division and dysfunction. Kasich argued Trump pits Americans against one another. He called Biden a "good man" and "a man for our times."

Kasich was the last Republican to bow out of the 2016 GOP race for President before Donald Trump received the nomination. Kasich's only primary win in the Republican election cycle was in the state of Ohio.

After he left the Governor's office in 2019, Kasich began serving as a CNN contributor.
