COTA To Increase Services on September 21st

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Central Ohio Transit Authority will be expanding services beginning September 21st, to accommodate an emerging workforce during the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials say it will include expanded service hours, with most line running from 5AM to 11PM seven days a week.

COTA will also make certain lines a 10-minute frequency during peak hours. That includes the 1,2, 10, and CMAX lines. Several crosstown lines will also increase in frequency from 60 minutes to 30.

The 21 and 25 lines will also be restored.

Many lines were either reduced or suspended at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. To adhere to social distancing standards, all COTA buses are still limited to 20 passengers, and all drivers and passengers are required to wear a mask.
